Bikini Shoots on Public Beaches
Kategorie: Bikini shoot locations
One might think that once they have found the perfect beach for a photo shoot they are all set. Although shooting in public places is allowed, in some cases you might need a permit. Nobody wants to be taken by surprise and asked to pay a fine. So, just keep in mind to check if this is the case for your choice of location. Once this is sorted out, all you need is a good camera and all the accessories and props photographers generally take for their photo shoot.
Seeing the interest people have in the model and your work is great. Shoots in public places always attract a crowd. Taking pics on public beaches even more so, as the model wears bikinis. If you have staff helping, that is great. If not, make sure you bring a friend or two to help you with stuff. This way you can focus on the model and get the best pics. Remember: do not include anyone else but the model in your photos. How to do that? Here are a few tips:
Keep an eye for minors running around and avoid shooting nosy adults as well. If a more secluded area is not available, then blur the background. This way their faces will not appear in the photos.
Sometimes it is as simple as changing the shooting angle. Move, or ask the model to reposition herself in a way that others are excluded from the frame. Using a good tripod might help you with getting the right angle or focus.
Choose the best camera or a mobile device that you know for sure will help with this. Modern devices are great with regards to keeping the focus on the model. Most smartphones automatically focus on the photo’s subject and also correct the exposure.
Shooting at the “Golden Hour” might get you the beach all to yourself. It’s unlikely you’ll walk into a large crowd shortly after sunrise or sunset. This will not only give you some impressive shoots with great light but will keep the model from sunburns. Bringing an air blower might be a good idea if you cannot shoot in the morning or evening hours.
Last but not least, talk to the model continuously. If she’s comfortable with all the prying eyes you’re in luck. But not all models like public attention. So in this case, make her relax with a joke or two. Assure her of the fact that she looks stunning, like a goddess. Pay close attention to any wardrobe malfunctions. Make use of props such as umbrellas, scarfs, sports equipment or anything else depending on the chosen theme.
Bring a positive attitude and tons of energy then you’ll have a blast. Luckily, bikini models are very easy to work with. Most of them are extroverts and have no problem posing in public spaces. As long as you have all details figured out before the photo shoot day we’re sure it’ll be alright.
